Ms. Mia presents audaciously in her new music video titled Just Pretty. The intro of the visual captures Ms. Mia’s crew as the hook is rapped in unison classically in a cappella.
Clearly Ms. Mia dominates the shot spewing a blush pink top, hot red trendy glasses and iced cold chains. Ms. Mia is out here living her best life and we all know what comes with that, haters!
Fortunately, Ms. Mia has the right antidote taking lyrical warning shots at anyone who dares to disturb her peace. Don’t get it confused, a woman can indulge in self care like getting nails done and hair done but don’t let the image of cute lengthy nails distract you from being put in your place lyrically or elsewhere.
Just Pretty official music video garnered two thousand views in one month, pretty hefty for an upcoming rapper. Her music is symbolic of where her roots lie. Ms. Mia grew up in Richmond, CA a city in Northern California historically known for its tough neighborhoods, poverty and violence. For many artists their surroundings are a deep reflection of their craft.
Ms. Mia looks at it this way, “I have a lot of different styles, classy, sassy and hood. It’s relatable, it’s my own people that’s going through the same situations”. Ms. Mia is the conduit bringing voice from the streets to her listeners who can relate.
Resilience shows up in her dedication to music. She’s withstood hard times like devastatingly losing her grandmother Granny G who raised her. It takes a great deal of will for anybody to continue on steadily focused after experiencing something of that magnitude.
Ms. Mia has also spent some time living in San Francisco, CA. Her Bay Area versatility is penned in her music. On a softer note, Ms. Mia’s daughter and son are her inspirations to keep pushing ahead with new music despite the pressures of making sure each song is top notch and vibe worthy.
She is oriented on making sure the right amount of work is put in to be successful. With the way things are currently going you’ll be hearing and seeing more of Ms. Mia.
